Cylinder head, installing

Cylinder 1 piston at Top Dead Center (TDC) - Repair Group 13, Valve timing, checking
- Lock camshafts in position with camshaft jig 3268.
- Place cylinder head gasket in position. Observe position of centering sleeves in cylinder block (holes -12 - and - 20 -).
- Place cylinder head in position.CAUTION: ALWAYS replace cylinder head bolts.
- Install cylinder head bolts and tighten by hand.
- Tighten cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown in Fig 2. Tighten to torque specs shown in CYLINDER HEAD BOLT TIGHTENING SEQUENCE .

NOTE:
- Loosening cylinder head: Reverse sequence.
- Re-torquing cylinder head after repairs is not necessary.
