Engine carrier rubber mount, replacing

- Disconnect high-voltage cables from Ignition Coil -N152- and unclip from cable guide -2-.
- Remove cable guide -2-.
- Disconnect vacuum hose between upper intake manifold and Fuel Pressure Regulator.
- Remove Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor -G42- from upper intake manifold.
- Mount 10-222 A engine support bridge with 10-222 A/3 engine support adapter.
- Locate support bridge in lifting eyes on left and right of cylinder head and take-up weight of engine.
- Remove engine carrier.
- Remove washers from spacer sleeves with pliers (replace any washers that are damaged, e.g. bent washers).
- Pull out spacer sleeves and detach rubber mount.
- Install new rubber mount and insert spacer sleeves as far as possible.
- Install washers -1- over peening tool 3302 and onto rubber mount -2-.
- Place sleeve of peening tool 3302 in position and, using a shop press, press washers onto spacer sleeves and peen. Use VW 432 as backing.
- Remove any resulting protrusion/burr on the peening.
