Checking conditions

NOTE: This test also checks the connections of the fuel supply line from fuel pump/sender to the connection of VAG1318 pressure gauge.

Close pressure gauge valve (lever in line with flow direction).

Operate VAG1348/3A remote control in short intervals.

Pressure must reach approx. 3 bar (44 psi).

If pressure builds up too high, reduce pressure carefully by opening pressure gauge valve.

CAUTION: When valve lever is moved, fuel may spray from open connection on gauge. Use container to catch fuel.

Note pressure drop.
- After 10 minutes pressure must not drop below 2 bar (29 psi).
If necessary, check hose connections for leaks or replace fuel pump/fuel level sensor.
