Radiator and coolant fan, removing and installing: Removing

Drain coolant, see COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
Remove front bumper.

Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator.
Disconnect harness connectors from Coolant Fan Control (FC) thermal switch -F18- and coolant fan -V7-.
Remove headlights

See HEADLIGHTS (GOLF, JETTA & CABRIO TO 10.98), SERVICING or HEADLIGHTS AND FRONT TURN SIGNALS, (CABRIO FROM 10.98), SERVICING .

Remove both radiator mounting bolts and remove radiator toward the front.
