When loosening securing bolts -1- and -2- and clamping bolt -3-, loosen tensioning bar securing nut -4- (if equipped) at least one turn.
NOTE:
The VAG 1410 torque wrench and ring insertion tool (size 22) can be used for V -belt adjustment.
- VAG 1410/2 (see -A-).
- Tension V-belt by tightening the tensioning nut to 4 N.m (35 in lb) (used belts) and tensioning nut clamping bolt -3- to 25 N.m (18 ft lb).
- Tighten securing bolt -1- to 45 N.m (33 ft lb).
- Tighten securing bolt -2- and tensioning bar securing nut -4- (if equipped) to 25 N.m (18 ft lb).
