Engine oil level, checking

After switching engine OFF, wait at least 3 minutes to allow the oil to flow back into the pan.

Remove dipstick, wipe with a clean cloth and reinsert as far as stop.
NOTE: Please note waste disposal requirements.

Remove dipstick again and read oil level: The oil level must be at the top edge of the shaded area (-A-) but on no account above this.

NOTE:

Risk of damage to catalytic converter if oil level is above shaded area -B-.
If below shaded area -A- fill to mark.
