Push piston into ATF pump to stop.
Place new paper gasket on ATF pump.

Place straightedge "B" onto stator support -arrow- and measure with depth gauge "A" to gasket of pump flange.

Example:

CALCULATING DIMENSION B (2ND AND 4TH GEAR BRAKE B2 - WITH SHIM AND RETAINING RING)

Reading - Straightedge	= =	39.8 mm - 19.5 mm
Calculated size b	=	20.3 mm

Gap x = a - b - 2.5 mm

Gap x = 27.3 - 20.3 - 2.65 = 4.35 mm
