Engine Control Module (ECM), procedure after replacing: Requirements

  • Secret number is not being accepted. Repeat input.
  • 3 attempts at entering the secret number correctly are possible immediately. The next 3 attempts are not emitted for at least 10 minutes. During this time, the ignition must remain constantly switched on. On Board Diagnostic (OBD) must be also exited using the "End Output" function 06.
  • The wait period between each of the next 3 attempts doubles up to the maximum time of 255 minutes.

NOTE: When ignition is switched on for the next time, the identification key of the Engine Control Module (ECM) will be read by the control module for immobilizer and stored. Engine must not be started again for approximately two minutes.
