Test procedure

Start engine.
Set ventilation control knobs as shown in Fig 1:

- A/C switch -E35 - (-2-) ON
- Fresh air/recirculating flap switch -E159- (-1-) ON
  Check components and specified functions using WINDOWS DO NOT CLEAR IN DEFROST MODE (FROM 1994 M.Y.) table:

3 - Temperature flap	Cooled air flows through heater core -4-. Temperature flap -3- must make audible contact when temperature control knob (center) is turned back and forth to full "cold" position	Adjust temperature flap control cable
4 - Heater core	Coolant hoses warm	Check engine cooling system thermostat, see appropriate Cooling System (Mechanical) article in ENGINES.
5 - Defroster vents	Luke-warm air flows from defroster vents	Adjust central flap control cable and footwell/defrost flap control cable
8 - Fresh air/recirculating flap	Fresh air inlet -9- open (arrow)	Check vacuum system
	Vacuum servo -10 - extended (no vacuum applied)	Check fresh air/recirculating flap two-way valve -N63- according to wiring diagram
	Vacuum servo -10 - extended (no vacuum applied)	Check fresh air/recirculating flap switch - E159- according to wiring diagram
