Test procedure

Set ventilation control knobs as shown in Fig 1:

- A/C switch -E35 - (-2-) OFF
- Fresh air/recirculating flap switch -E159- (-3-) OFF
  Check components and specified functions using following table:

INSUFFICIENT OR NO HEAT OUTPUT (FROM 1994 M.Y.)

Components	Specified function and check	Remedy if specified function not obtained
4 - Temperature flap	Temperature flap -4- must make audible contact when temperature control knob (center) is turned back and forth to full "cold" position	Adjust temperature flap control cable
5 - Heater core	Warm	Check engine cooling system thermostat, see appropriate Cooling System (Mechanical) article in ENGINES.
