Front seats, removing and installing: Removing

- Pull cover strip -1- rearward off inner guide rail.
- Pull out wedge -2- on back of cap -3- with flat pliers and remove cap from outer guide rail.
- Slide seat forward, press clip -4- together and pull out.
- Slide seat back out of guide rails.
NOTE:
Technician must electrostatically discharge him/herself before disconnecting igniter and Ground (GND) wire.
Connector -2- (Airbag adapter VAS 5061) not required.
- Disconnect igniter and ground wire from side airbag.
- Insert connector -1- (Airbag adapter VAS 5061) in connector housing -4-.
- Insert connector -3- (Airbag adapter VAS 5061) into connector housing -5-.
- Disconnect connectors for seat heating and seat adjustment, if equipped.
