Front door insulation, replacing

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio, and 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The purpose of door insulation is to seal the passenger compartment from noise, water penetration and drafts

Replacement part insulation is supplied with self-adhesive.

Door insulation must always be installed carefully and without creases. When it is replaced, door contact surfaces must be cleaned and new door insulation installed without any creases.

If adhesion is insufficient, use double-sided adhesive tape AKL 434 019 25 or AKL 440 025.
