Lock cylinder housing, removing and installing: Removing

- Remove rear lid trim.
- Disconnect connector -3-.
- Unclip operating rods -1- and -2- on lock cylinder housing.
NOTE:
- Lower spring mount can be damaged during collision repair.
- If this is the case the lock cylinder housing must be replaced
- Installation must therefore be performed carefully.
- Use screwdriver to lift retaining clip -1-.
- Pry retaining clip -1- over lock cylinder housing mount with screwdriver.
- Remove cylinder housing.
NOTE:
For ease of illustration the lock cylinder housing is omitted from the close up showing the levering-out of the retaining clip.
- Take lock cylinder housing out of the handle and the rear lid.
