Gas strut, removing

Support rear lid.
Lift retainer -2- with a screwdriver and pull gas strut off ball stud -1-.

NOTE: If gas strut is to be reused, retaining clip -2- must not be taken out of ball socket completely, otherwise retaining clip will be damaged.
