Glovebox, removing and installing

Removing and installing glovebox in knee bar (vehicle with passenger side airbag), refer to appropriate AIRBAG article in RESTRAINTS for airbag disabling procedure.

- - Glovebox
Removing:
- Remove passenger side storage shelf, refer to PASSENGER SIDE STORAGE SHELF, REMOVING .
- Unclip glovebox light (if present) and separate connections.
- Remove Phillips-head screws - 2 - and hex head screws - 4 -.
- - Phillips-head screw
- - Hinge pin
- - Hex-head screw
- - Latch linkage
- - Glovebox lid
Removing:
- Remove glovebox - 1 -
- Remove hinge pins - 3 - and take lid off.
- - Latch
- - Cap
- - Lock cylinder
- Common key locking can be maintained in vehicle by changing over or attaching locking plates, refer to LOCK CYLINDERS AND KEYS, MATCHING .
- - Sleeve
- Key must be inserted to remove sleeve
- - Phillips-head screw
- - Cap (glovebox light)
- - Snap nut
