Glovebox, removing and installing

WARNING: Removing and installing glovebox in knee bar (vehicle with passenger side airbag), refer to appropriate AIRBAG article in RESTRAINTS for airbag disabling procedure.
NOTE: The following list refers to items in Fig 1 .
  1. - Glovebox 

    Removing:

    • Remove passenger side storage shelf, refer to PASSENGER SIDE STORAGE SHELF, REMOVING  .
    • Unclip glovebox light (if present) and separate connections.
    • Remove Phillips-head screws - 2 - and hex head screws - 4 -.
  2. - Phillips-head screw 
  3. - Hinge pin 
  4. - Hex-head screw 
  5. - Latch linkage 
  6. - Glovebox lid 

    Removing:

    • Remove glovebox - 1 -
    • Remove hinge pins - 3 - and take lid off.
  7. - Latch 
  8. - Cap 
  9. - Lock cylinder 
  10. - Sleeve 
    • Key must be inserted to remove sleeve
  11. - Phillips-head screw 
  12. - Cap (glovebox light) 
  13. - Snap nut
