Over-center spring, removing and installing: Installing

The spring is installed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Locate relay panel in left retainer when installing over - center spring.
- Pull clutch pedal back toward passenger compartment.
- Guide over-center spring between clutch pedal and relay panel retainer until it is positioned in its bracket (arrow -1-) and directly below clutch pedal mounting lug (arrow - 2-).
- Press over -center spring onto mounting lug while depressing clutch pedal.
NOTE:
If the clutch pedal is noisy during operation (squeaks), lightly lubricate the spring contact points (arrows -1- and -2-) with lithium grease. If the noise persists, remove the spring, lubricate its internal sliding surfaces and reinstall.
