Hydraulic system, assembly overview: Notes

1 - Brake fluid reservoir 

2 - Supply hose 

3 - Master cylinder 

• Removing and installing. Refer to Master cylinder, removing and installing 

4 - Retainer 

• Replace only with master cylinder removed
• Removing. See Pry retainer -A- off in direction of arrow 
• Pressing on. See Press master cylinder operating rod in retainer -A- in direction of arrow 

5 - Clutch pedal 

• Removing and installing. Refer to Clutch pedal, removing and installing 

6 - Self-locking hex nut, 25 Nm 

• Always replace

7 - Seal 

• Pull onto line/hose connection
• Insert with brake fluid

8 - Line/hose assembly 

• Allocate using parts catalog

9 - Bracket 

• Secured to body

10 - Dust cap 

11 - Bleed valve 

• Bleeding clutch system. Refer to Clutch system, bleeding 

12 - Slave cylinder 

• Before removing the slave cylinder:

• Remove gear selector cable from gear selector lever. Refer to Selector cables, removing and installing  
• Remove relay lever and actuating arm for gate selector cable. Refer to item 16 in Selector cables, removing and installing  

• After installing adjust gear selector mechanism. Refer to Gear selector mechanism up to 05.99, adjusting 

13 - Collared securing bolt, 25 Nm 

14 - Transmission 

15 - Clip 

16 - Seal 

• Pull onto line/hose connection
• Insert with brake fluid

17 - Support bracket 

18 - Hose bracket 

• Secure to control cable/gear selector cable support bracket

19 - Clip
