1 - Automatic Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-

Location. Refer to Location of Transmission Control Module -J217-

Checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD). Refer to On Board Diagnostic (OBD)

Control module sends and receives data from data bus: Data bus

2 - Engine Control Module

NOTE: If the engine or transmission control modules are replaced, the system must be returned to basic setting. Refer to Basic setting, initiating .

3 - Instrument cluster with data bus On Board Diagnostic (OBD) interface -J533-

4 - Data Link Connector

5 - Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) switch -F125-

Removing, installing and adjusting

6 - Intermediate shaft speed sensor -G265-

Picks up signal on spur gear A
Location: in transmission

7 - Vehicle speed sensor -G68-

Picks up transmission output speed (road speed)

8 - Sensor for transmission RPM -G182-

Picks up transmission input speed (turbine shaft)
Location: in transmission
Checked by OBD

9 - Valve body

Location: in transmission

Refer to 38 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - GEARS, HYDRAULIC CONTROLS

The solenoid valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90-, -N91-, -N92-, -N93-, -N281-, -N282- and -N283- are attached to the valve body
The valves are checked by OBD

10 - Transmission fluid temperature sensor -G93-

Location: in transmission

11 - Shift lock solenoid -N110-

Location and removing and installing

Refer to 37 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - CONTROLS, HOUSING

The solenoid is checked by OBD
Can be checked in measured value block. Refer to Measured value block, reading and during the electrical check. Refer to Transmission electrical check

12 - Brake pressure switch -F270-

Signal can be checked in measured value block. Refer to Measured value block, reading .
Location: switch is located on bulkhead in brake line to front right-hand wheel

13 - Brake light switch -F-

Location and removing and installing. See Brake light switch -F- location
Can be checked electrically. Refer to Transmission electrical check and via reading measured value block. Refer to Measured value block, reading

14 - Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Relay -J226-
