Test step 4

Checks function of databus wires.
- Set measuring range to 2 kΩ.
- Measure between terminal 7 and terminal 8 on disconnected connector.
Specified value: 50 to 70 Ω
If specified value is not obtained:
- Check data-BUS wires for open circuit or short circuit according to wiring diagram and for proper routing. To do this, disconnect multi-pin connectors from all data-BUS connected control modules.
- Set measuring range to 20 MΩ.
- Perform following resistance measurements at disconnected connector for All-Wheel Drive Control Module J492 :

- Check data-BUS wires for open circuit. Wire resistance: max. 1.5 Ω
If specified values are not obtained:
- Repair wire routing according to wiring diagram Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting Component Locations.
If specified values are obtained:
- Re-connect multi-pin connectors for all control modules and check DTC memory of all control modules connected to data-BUS and repair malfunction if necessary.
