Cylinder head cover, removing and installing: Installing

NOTE:

Replace cylinder head cover gasket and seal for bolts if damaged.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Apply a drop of sealant AMV 174 004 01 (approx. 5 mm diameter) - arrows - to both side edges of front bearing cap/cylinder head sealing surfaces.

Apply a drop of sealant AMV 174 004 01 (approx. 5 mm diameter) - arrows - to both side edges of rear bearing cap/cylinder head sealing surfaces.

Tighten cylinder head cover hand tight in sequence -1 to 13-.
Tighten bolts to 10 Nm in sequence -1 to 13-.
