Steering lock housing, removing and installing: Installing

Installing ignition switch / lock cylinder → 94 LIGHTS, SWITCHES - EXTERIOR

• Reconnect connector for ignition starter switch.
• Only for automatic transmission, connect ignition key removal lock cable.
• Install new shear bolts.
• Tighten shear bolts until head shears off.

Following work sequence affects only vehicle with ESP 

• Installing Steering Angle Sensor G85 → 45 ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM

The following steps apply to all vehicles.

• Installing trim for steering column switch → 70 - INTERIOR TRIM
• Install steering wheel → 69 - PASSENGER PROTECTION - AIRBAGS, SEAT BELTS
• Install airbag unit → 69 - PASSENGER PROTECTION - AIRBAGS, SEAT BELTS
