Secondary air injection pump motor, checking

Requirements
- Fuse for secondary air injection pump in battery main fuse holder must be OK.
- Secondary air injection pump vacuum lines not blocked or kinked
Work sequence
- Remove engine cover.
- Remove pressure hose in secondary air injection pump motor.
- Activate secondary air injection pump relay via final control diagnosis. Refer to Adapting components and functions , Adapting functions and components.
Secondary air injection pump motor must run at intervals and air must exit at outlet union.
If motor runs but no air is pumped out:
- Replace secondary air injection pump motor.
If secondary air injection pump motor does not run at intervals:
- Check activation of secondary air injection pump motor. Refer to Adapting components and functions .
