Sealing ring for driveshaft flange on rear final drive, replacing (final drive removed): Removing

For mounting rear final drive, transmission support VW 353 must be modified on assembly stand.

Dimensional data in mm.

Inscribe bore - arrow 1 - corresponding to illustration.
Bore a hole of 13 mm diameter - arrow 1 - into transmission holder.
Enlarge bore - arrow 2 - to 13 mm diameter.

Remove hex nut for driveshaft flange.

A - Hex bolts M10 x 20

NOTE:

When loosening hex nut, counterhold driveshaft flange over tube - C - using transmission holder V.A.G 2004 (2nd technician).

Pull off driveshaft flange. If it is difficult to move, use three arm puller Kukko 45-2 - A -
Remove seal using extractor lever VW 681.
