Available adjustment shims for S

- Install determined adjustment shim S 2 in place of S 2* .
If the measured shim thickness is greater than listed in the table, 2 shims corresponding to the measured value can be installed.
Different tolerances make it possible to measure the required shim size exactly.
- Press in outer race again and insert head bevel gear/input shaft.

If the measured shim thickness is greater than listed in the table, 2 shims corresponding to the measured value can be installed.
- Install determined shim S 1 .
NOTE:
- For some transmissions, adjustment shim S 1 is located between oil deflector ring and large cover. Here the adjustment shim installed for substitution purposes must be replaced by the originally installed oil deflector in the same arrangement.
- Press in outer race again.
- Install large cover.
