Needle bearing (polygon bearing) for right flanged shaft, replacing: Installing

Assemble tool T10047 .

Rotate shaft during pressing so that bearing contact surface on shaft is not damaged - arrow -.
Secure bearing with a new circlip.
Carefully drive in right flanged shaft, turning shaft while doing so.
Secure flanged shaft with conical head bolt and tighten to specified torque.

Install right drive axle to flanged shaft → 40 FRONT SUSPENSION .

Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine

Install drive axle → 40 FRONT SUSPENSION .

Continuation for all vehicles

If so equipped, install shielding plate for drive axle to bevel gear transfer case.
Check gear oil in manual transmission with bevel gear transfer case → Gear oil, checking .
If necessary, install sound insulation.
