Shift mechanism, adjusting in transmissions with lock elbow (as of transmission manufacture date 190503)

Selector shaft - A  - is secured with a lock elbow - arrow  -

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

NOTE:
  • Requirements for a correct shift adjustment are the following points:
  • Components of shift mechanism and linkage must be in proper working condition.
  • Shift mechanism must move freely
  • Transmission, clutch and clutch mechanism must be in proper working condition.
  • Transmission in neutral

Secure selector shaft as follows:

Now secure shift lever as follows:

The spring presses securing mechanism into initial position in direction of - arrow 2  -.

While doing this, lock bracket - A  - must be pressed in direction of - arrow 1  - out of transmission.

Selector shaft must now be able to move in direction of - arrow  -.
