Shift mechanism, adjusting in transmissions with lock bolts (up to transmission manufacture date 180503): Notes

Selector shaft - A  - is secured with a locking pin - arrow  -

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

NOTE:
  • Requirements for a correct shift adjustment are the following points:
  • Components of shift mechanism and linkage must be in proper working condition.
  • Shift mechanism must move freely
  • Transmission, clutch and clutch mechanism must be in proper working condition.
  • Transmission in neutral

Secure selector shaft as follows:

This locks the selector shaft; it can no longer be moved.

Now secure shift lever as follows:

The spring presses the securing mechanism into initial position.
