Clutch system, bleeding

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Brake filling and bleeding tool VAS 5234 or
- Brake filling and bleeding tool V.A.G 1869
Brake fluid specification → 47 BRAKES - HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS
NOTE:
- Pre-filling the system is not necessary!
- Connect Brake filling and bleeding tool VAS 5234 or Brake filling and bleeding tool V.A.G 1869.
- If necessary, use bleeder hose (670 mm long) V.A.G 1238/B3 for bleeding.
- Connect bleeder hose with collector bottle of brake bleeder unit.
- Connect bleeder hose - A - to bleeder - arrow -.
- Charge system to a pressure of 2 bar.
- Open bleeder valve approx. 1/4 rotation.
- Move clutch pedal very quickly 15 to 20 times from stop to stop by hand.
- Close bleeder valve.
- After completing bleeding procedure, release 2 bar pressure and operate brake pedal 10 times.
