- Pull upper vacuum hose - arrow - of secondary air injection solenoid valve.
- Start engine and let it idle.
It will be possible to feel a vacuum at secondary air injection solenoid valve nozzles.
If no vacuum can be detected:
- Switch ignition off.
- Remove 2-pin connector from secondary air injection solenoid valve - 1 -.
- Connect Voltage tester VAG 1527 B to disconnected attachment plug using auxiliary cables from Supplemental measuring toolset VAG 1594 A.
If the LED illuminates (power supply OK):
- Turn off ignition.
- Replace Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve N112.
If the LED does not illuminate:
- Clip on 2-terminal attachment plug.
- Start output diagnostic test mode and trigger the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve N112 : Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- Check DTC memory: Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- Read readiness code: Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- If DTC memory was erased or engine control unit was separated from positive voltage supply, readiness code must be regenerated: Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
