Checking resistances

Work sequence

Remove right rear fender liner: Refer to 66 EXTERIOR EQUIPMENT

Disconnect electrical connector from Leak Detection Pump (LDP) V144 - arrow -.
Connect Multimeter VAG 1526 A for measuring resistance between contacts 1 and 3 of LDP.

Specification: 640-720 Ω

Connect Multimeter VAG 1526 A for measuring resistance between contacts 2 and 3 of LDP.

Specification: 12.5-19.5 Ω

If the specifications were not attained:

Replace Leak Detection Pump (LDP) V144.
Readiness code: Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
If DTC memory has been erased or engine control module was separated from positive voltage supply, readiness code must be regenerated: Refer to 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
