Sealing flange - belt pulley end, removing and installing: Installing

NOTE:
- Observe the use by date of the sealing compound.
- The sealing flange must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the silicone sealant.
- Cut off tube nozzle at forward marking (nozzle diameter approx. 3 mm).
NOTE:
- The sealant bead must not be thicker than 2 to 3 mm, otherwise excess sealant can enter the oil pan and clog the strainer in the oil pump suction pipe, as well as drip onto the crankshaft oil seal.
- Before applying the sealant bead, cover the sealing surface of the oil seal with a clean rag.
- Apply silicone sealant bead as shown - arrow - to clean sealing surface of sealing flange.
- Install sealing flange immediately and lightly tighten all bolts.
NOTE:
- Use guide sleeve T10053/1 to install sealing flange with the oil seal already installed.
- Tighten sealing flange securing bolts using diagonal and alternating sequence. Tightening torque: 15 Nm
- Install oil pan. Refer to Oil pan, removing and installing .
NOTE:
- Allow the sealing compound dry for approx. 30 minutes after installing the oil pan. Only then fill the engine with oil.
