Child seat restraint anchorage, front passenger seat, installing: Installing

- Remove clips from right-side front and rear sill panel trims, and remove scuff plates: refer to SILL PANEL TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Locate threaded fastener -4- in right rocker panel (below right-side B-pillar -5-).
- Install tongue and anchor assembly -2- from kit.
Make sure that metal bushing -3- is in place.
- With tongue and anchor assembly mounted perpendicular to driving direction, tighten mounting bolt -1- to 40 N.m (30 ft lb).CAUTION: Use only the fully-threaded bolt, specified in these instructions, to mount the tongue and anchor assembly.
- Install front and rear sill panel trims.NOTE:
- When the child's seat is installed and both ends of the child's seat are buckled, the belt can be adjusted to fit snugly over the child's seat by pulling the loose end of the webbing to tighten it.
- When the child's seat belt is not used with a child's seat, both ends of the belt should be unbuckled and it should be stored in the glovebox.
