Front seat cover and padding, removing and installing: Notes
NOTE:

- - Cover
Removing:
- Remove backrest. See FRONT SEAT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Pry out clips - 5 -.
- Straighten hooking tabs - 7 -.
- Disconnect tensioning wire - 4 -.
- Pry cover with rear reinforcement out of seat frame.
- Disconnect padding wires - 2 - from padding.
- - Padding wire
- Hooked into padding
- Remove and install with VAG1636 or equivalent (awl, commercially available)
- Standard seat: cross padding wire located at front
- Sport seat: cross padding wire located at rear
- - Padding
- - Cover tensioning wire
- First secure cover with clips - 5 - and attach to hooking tabs - 7 -, then pull tensioning wire tight and connect
- - Clip
- - Seat frame
- - Cover hooking tabs
- - Cover clip
