Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool and select function

Test conditions:

• All fuses OK according to wiring diagram
• Battery voltage at least 9 V

• Remove ashtray and slide cover for Data Link Connector (DLC) to the left (arrow).

• Switch off ignition and connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool using VAG 1551/3 adapter harness.

Indicated on display

* Operating modes 1 and 2 are displayed alternately.

• Additional operating instructions can be printed out by pressing the HELP button on the VAG 1551 scan tool.
• The --> button advances the scan tool program sequence.
• The PRINT button switches the printer on (indicator light in button lights up).
