Checking control module version
- Switch ignition on.
- Press button -1- for "Rapid data transfer" operating mode.

- Press buttons -1- and -5- to insert address word "Airbag".

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Top line of display: Part No. of control module System designation (AIRBAG VW3) Version number
- Bottom line of display: Code number (Dealer number automatically stored in airbag control module when entering the system)
- Press--> button.

NOTE:
- If any of the listed messages is displayed, the possible causes of the malfunction can be printed by pressing the HELP-button.
- The ignition must be switched on.
- Malfunctions have occurred at the start or during the program (external interference?).
- Check VAG 1551/3 adapter harness, voltage supply (B+) and Ground (GND) connections.
- After repairing possible causes of malfunction, press buttons -1- and -5- to insert address word "Airbag".
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
