Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) table
NOTE:
- The following table lists all possible malfunctions that can be detected and stored by the airbag control module -J234- and printed out by the VAG 1551 Scan Tool according to the 5-digit Diagnostic Trouble Code.
- The number of the DTCs and blink codes only appear in the printout (5-digit DTCs and 4-digit blink code)
- Before you replace a component that you suspect to be faulty, check all appropriate wiring, component connections, harness connections and Ground (GND) connections according to the wiring diagram.
- Check that all relay panel connections are secure.
- After repairs, check the DTC memory again using the VAG 1551 Scan Tool and erase memory.
- The DTC table also lists the type of malfunction.
