Totally discharged batteries, charging

CAUTION: Batteries that have a colorless or light yellow "Magic Eye" charge indicator must not be tested or charged. Jump starting is not permitted!

There is a risk of explosion during testing, charging or jump starting.

These batteries must be replaced.

CAUTION:
  • Discharged batteries freeze prematurely.
  • Frozen batteries or batteries that have been frozen and subsequently thawed must no longer be used.
  • Never "quick charge" a totally discharged battery. Effective charging will not take place, despite what appears to be a sufficient voltage applied. Batteries loaded in this manner may be incorrectly evaluated as OK and battery damage may result.
