Left spring, installing

• When changing spring an exact position must be observed.

• The spring coils - 1  - with the lowest distance - a  - in vehicle must point upward.

• Compress Spring Compressor V.A.G 1752/1 - 1  - with Spring Holder For A4 V.A.G 1752/7 - 2  - into a vise.
• Compress spring with spring compressor so that lower end of spring - arrow A  - points to notch in spring compressor - arrow B  -.

Both narrow coil springs that point to one another, point downward.

• Turn the spindle of the spring compressor until the spring is slightly tightened.
• Check whether the spring holders rest correctly against the spring coils.
• Compress coil spring until the spring coils touch each other.

The end of the coil spring must lie against stop - arrow  -.

• Set spring with Spring Compressor V.A.G 1752/1.

• Release the tension of the spring by turning the spindle clockwise.
• After releasing the spring tension, check the installation position
• Do not use an impact wrench or similar!

• Take the spring compressor off the spring.
