I - Subframe, stabilizer bar, control arm, overview

NOTE:

If a vehicle that has a drive shaft removed is to be moved, an outer CV joint must be installed in place of the drive shaft and be tightened to 50 Nm. Otherwise, the wheel bearing will be damaged.
Welding and straightening operations are not permitted on load-bearing or wheel-controlling components.
Always replace self-locking nuts.
Always replaced corroded bolts/nuts.

1 - Subframe retaining bracket

The captive nut cannot be reworked. If the nut is damaged, replace complete mounting bracket.

2 - Weld nut in body

If weld nut threads are damaged, threads can be repaired using Heli-Coil thread inserts.

Servicing thread in side rail → Threads in longitudinal member, servicing

3 - Bonded rubber bushing

Removing and installing → Bonded rubber bushings for subframe, replacing

4 - Hex bolt M 14 x 1.5 x 63

100 Nm and turn additional 90 °
Replace each time it is removed

5 - Nut, self-locking

Replace each time it is removed

6 - Rear control arm bushing

Pressing out and in Pressing out/in control arm rear bushing

7 - Hex bolt M 12 x 1.5 x 70

70 Nm and turn additional 90 °
Replace each time it is removed

8 - Hex nut, self-locking, 45 Nm

Replace each time it is removed

9 - Ball joint

Checking → Ball joint, checking
Removing and installing → Ball joint, removing and installing

10 - Hex nut, 75 Nm

Replace each time it is removed

11 - Control arm

12 - Hex head bolt, 25 Nm

13 - Left Front Level Control System Sensor G78

14 - Front control arm bushing

Pressing out Pressing out front control arm bushing
Installed location Installation position for control arm front bushing
Pressing in Pressing in front control arm bushing

15 - Hex bolt M 14 x 1.5 x 95

100 Nm and turn additional 90 °
Replace each time it is removed

16 - Connecting Link

17 - Hex nut, 90 Nm

Replace each time it is removed

18 - Stabilizer bar

The subframe must be lowered to remove and install.

19 - Hex bolt M 12 x 1.5 x 78

70 Nm and turn additional 90 °
Replace each time it is removed

20 - Hex head bolt, 25 Nm

M8 x 45

21 - Hex head bolt, 50 Nm

M10 x 70

22 - Hex head bolt, 50 Nm

M10 x 30

23 - Pendulum support

24 - Subframe

If damaged, do not repair threads in subframe for front control arm bolt!

25 - Rubber bushing

26 - Clamp

27 - Hex head bolt, 25 Nm
