Oil pressure and oil pressure switch, checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

Test conditions: 

NOTE:
  • Function test and servicing the optical and acoustic oil pressure indicator:, refer to Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting and Component Locations

Test sequence:

If LED does not light up:

2000 RPM: 2.7 to 4.5 bar

Above 2000 RPM: maximum 7.0 bar

If specifications are not obtained:

At higher engine speeds oil pressure must not exceed 7.0 bar

If specification is exceeded:
