Front belt reel and anchor rail with tensioner, removing and installing: Notes

WARNING: Always follow prescribed work sequence for removing or installing belt reel -3-.
NOTE: The following list refers to Fig 1 .
  1. - Inertia reel 
  2. - Bolt 
    • 40 N.m (30 ft lb)
  3. - Bolt 
    • 23 N.m (17 ft lb)
  4. - Anchor rail 
  5. - Bolt 
    • 40 N.m (30 ft lb)
  6. - Cap 
  7. - Stud 
  8. - Cable channel with mount for tensioner 
  9. - Tensioner 
    • Integral part of seat belt
    • Loosening lock nut - 7 - makes belt tensioner safe
    • Tightening lock nut - 7 - makes it operational again
  10. - Lock nut 
    • 20 N.m (15 ft lb)
  11. - Mount location of inertia reel 
    • Retaining tabs determine position of belt reel
