Vehicles up to 08.94

Check prerequisites:

With the ignition switched off, connect V.A.G 1551 with cable V.A.G 1551/1 to the diagnostic socket as follows:

Unclip cover for diagnostic sockets below the heating/ventilation controls.
Connect black connector from VAG 1551/1 to black Data Link Connector in the vehicle (voltage supply).

NOTE: If display remains blank, do not connect white connector. In this case, check VAG 1551 voltage supply using wiring diagram.

Connect VAG 1551 white connector to white Data Link Connector in vehicle. Blue connector is not required.
