Calculating Overall Ratio 'I'

Example: 6-Speed standard transmission 02M

	6th gear	Final drive
Drive gear	ZG1 = 36	ZA1 = 26
Driven gear	ZG2 = 29	ZA2 = 68

i= Z2 ÷ Z11)

iG = Gear ratio = ZG2 : ZG1 = 29 : 36 = 0.806

iA = Axle ratio = ZA2 : ZA1 = 68 : 26 = 2.615

overall ratio = total ratio = iG x iA = 0.806 x 2.615 = 2.108
