Rear seat cushion cover and padding, removing and installing: Notes

NOTE: The following list refers to Fig 1 .
  1. Cover 
    • Cut through padding clips -6-.
    • Release tension on tension wire.
    • Pull cover over wire frame.
    • Unhook padding wire out of padding using awl VAG 1636 and cut through padding clips -4- if equipped.
    • Remove cover.
  2. Padding wire 
    • Connected in padding; disconnect and connect with VAG 1636
  3. Padding 
  4. Padding clips 
    • Cutting through to remove will destroy
    • Replace with new clips when installing and press together using upholstery pliers VAG 1634
  5. Wire frame 
  6. Padding clips 
    • Cutting through to remove will destroy
    • Replace with new clips when installing and press together using upholstery pliers VAG 1634
  7. Tensioning wire
