Brake System Precautions

  1. If brake pads are to be reused, mark them for correct location to assist reassembly procedure. Changing location of used pads may cause pulling or poor brake response. If pads or linings are to be replaced, all linings should come from same manufacturer. All pads or linings on axle should be replaced at same time.
  2. After installing pads or calipers, ALWAYS pump brake pedal several times so that pistons and pads can adjust position relative to surface of rotor. DO NOT move vehicle until firm pedal is obtained.
