Diagnosis & Overhaul - 090: Identification

Transaxle portion of transaxle assembly may be identified by a group of numbers stamped into top of transaxle case. One of the numbers in "090". This denotes the Volkswagen "2-planetary" type transaxle. Final drive portion of transaxle assembly is identified by a group of figures stamped into final drive housing near governor assembly. These figures consist of a 2 letter model code and a build date code.
