Oil Pump Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove pump cover attaching screws and separate cover from housing. Remove check ball and spring, then lift out inner and outer pump gears along with drive plate.
  2. Using needle nose pliers, unhook oil seal ring ends and carefully remove seal rings from pump housing. Remove thrust washer from pump housing. See Fig 1 .
