Removal (4-Cyl. Engine)

- Remove injection pump belt. Remove injection pipes and cover fuel outlets to prevent contamination. Remove solenoid wire, hoses and control cables from pump.
- Insert pump sprocket locking tool (2064) and remove sprocket bolt. Use puller (3032 or VW 203b) to remove pump sprocket. Place puller so jaws are at a right angle to the bar and pointing in the direction of spindle rotation. Apply light tension to puller.
- Strike puller spindle head lightly to loosen sprocket from the shaft. Do not pry on sprocket with bar or lever. Remove pump mounting bolts and remove pump from engine.
