Disassembly - Teves & Girling (Vanagon)

  1. Remove disc pads and damping plates as previously described. Clamp mounting flange in a soft-jawed vise, and remove dust boot retainer (if equipped), and dust boot.
  2. Install Piston Retainer Clamp (US 1023/5) on 1 piston. Insert wooden block in caliper, and force piston out using compressed air. Repeat procedure for opposite piston. Remove piston seals without damaging bore.
