Instrument Panel Under Tray Removal And Installation/Replacement (Driver)

Mobile Repair Possible:  Van/Car

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION

2. Release OBD connector (1) at the 6 latches and thread it through to the rear.

3. Remove the bolt (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm 

4. Remove the 2 fastening plugs (2), fold down the instrument panel under tray (3) and guide it to the rear out of the footwell.

5. Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (1) of the interior lamp.
6. Remove instrument panel under tray (2).

Replacement Procedure:

1. Unclip and remove the interior lamp (1) in the direction of the arrow.

2. Remove 2 screws (1).

   Torque: 3 Nm 

3. Remove front floor air outlet duct on the driver side (2).

Installations note: The rear clips (1) must be engaged and the Clips (2) must be undamaged. 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following. All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
